Kate found yoga over 10 years ago while struggling with anxiety and depression as a college student. On a friend's suggestion, he attended a beginner yoga class and was stunned by how calm, focused, and happy he felt afterwards. The way yoga wove together physical movement, breathing techniques, and mindfulness spoke uniquely to Kate's needs. His mental health improved dramatically with a regular practice. Inspired to deepen his knowledge, Kate completed a 200-hour yoga teacher certification after graduating.
What began as a personal quest to heal soon ignited into a passion for guiding others through yoga’s transformative power using a trauma-informed approach. kate pursued additional training to specialize in yoga for anxiety, depression and PTSD. He volunteered teaching free classes at veterans hospitals and women’s shelters. The courage and resilience of his students motivated Kate to open his own small donation-based studio.
